Lot: 81 Description: SOUTHERN PACIFIC PLATE – American Loco. Co. Brooks brass plate No. 45028 built February 1908 and measures 12” x 7 ¾”. From Southern Pacific Class M-9 engine No. 1812 a 2-6-0 that was scrapped in May 22, 1923. This Alco transitional plate shows black paint and still holds curvature. There does appear to be patched hold below “OK” in “Brooks,” which is apparently not uncommon with these. Another nice offering. Minimum bid: $500 Price Realized: $1,400 |
