Lot: 74 Description: EL PASS & SOUTHWESTERN PLATE – American Locomotive Co. Schenectady Works brass plate No. 58438 built April 1918. From a class MK-6 engine #376, 2-8-2 engine. Sold to the Southern Pacific in 1924 and became MK-8 #3313 in 1924. In 1918, the USRA allocated five “Mikado-Heavy,” type locomotives to the EP&SW, all built by ALCO. They were given road numbers 373 through 377. Plate shows some wear on the serial number and letters but overall, very acceptable. Minimum bid: $500 Price Realized: $1,550 |
