Lot: 73 Description: DENVER & RIO GRANDE PLATE – REPLICA, BLW plate No. 21788 originally built in April 1903. This was a narrow-gauge 2-8-2 engine #463. This original engine currently runs on the Cumbres & Toltec and is one of only two remaining Mudhens. I don’t like to sell replicas as you know, however, this is well marked on the back and obviously also has no mounting holes. This plate holds a curve and ironically appears to have scale on the reverse? Measures 12” in diameter. Would be a nice display for the new owner. Minimum bid: $100 Price Realized: $110 |
