Lot: 152 Description: AT&SF ATCHISON PLATTER – top marked 9 ¾” oval platter manufactured by Bauscher and bottom stamped as well. This extremely rare offering is in amazing condition, showing light utensil marks in the center well. Considering this dates to late 1800’s service it is truly a treasure to find this nice. I have had the pleasure of handling some rare Santa Fe patterns and this one is no exception. It is thought this pattern most likely was used on the trains running between Chicago-Kansas City/ Chicago – ST Louis and possibly between Barstow California & San Francisco. One of the stars of this issue. Minimum bid: $2,000 Price Realized: $15,250 |
