Lot: 67 Description: BUSINESS CAR ANNUNCIATOR - These were mounted in the forward hallway next to the kitchen or above the door in the Pantry area of a car. Their use was to call the Steward to the location shown in the window of the Annunciator when a button was pushed by the passenger onboard. The buttons were in sitting areas in the bedrooms, dining room and observation rooms of the car and allowed patrons riding in the car to call for service without leaving their seats. This came out of the Kansas City Southern business car 99. This is comprised of wood and metal with 10 windows showing various numbers and letters. Piece measures approximately 17" x 7 1/2" x 4".
