Dear Friends,
Welcome to my 122nd auction, showcasing over 500 lots of high-quality memorabilia that are
eagerly awaiting a new shelf to be proudly displayed upon.
It is with a heavy heart that we must bid farewell to our dear friend, Andy Saez of Durango,
Colorado. This auction includes remarkable pieces from the estate of Andy, who passed away
on November 5, 2024, at the age of 94. Andy was a retired Santa Fe Special Agent and had
amassed an impressive collection, which he proudly exhibited in his replica depot on his property
in Durango. Andy and his beloved wife, Lucille, shared 75 wonderful years of marriage.
Andy's passion extended beyond railroads; he was also an esteemed member of the Model A Ford
Club of America. His wife and daughter Donna as well as his two grandsons, Karl & Kyle and
great grandchildren Mateo & Lillian Rose will miss him dearly. He was a true gentleman, deeply
respected in this hobby, and his absence will be profoundly felt.
I am honored to be asked to list some of his pieces which you will find in this issue. This auction features many exceptional pieces that will make wonderful additions to any collection.
