Lot: 131  Description: WAX BURNER – early amber glass alcohol burner for melting was used with wax sealers. Patented Sep., 14, 1880 on one side and March 14th 1893 on the opposite. Glass jar has brass fittings around the wick and sits in a footed tin holder. No manufacturers marks shown. This measures 4” diameter and stands 8” high. A great piece of early history and first I have had the pleasure of handling.
