Lot: 251  Description: C&A RR 761 KEY – (Camden & Amboy) serif letters on brass tapered barrel single ring key manufactured by T. Slaight, Newark NJ. Letters are worn but legible with dark patina. Incorporated in 1830 and opened the first line in 1832. Without a doubt one of the oldest railroads in North America. It was consolidated with two other railroads in 1872 and named the United New Jersey Railroad and Canal Company. Eventually became part of the Pennsylvania. A rare key that should bring some strong attention.
