Lot: 111 Description: DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN BUILDER’S PLATE – American Locomotive Co/ General Electric Co, Schenectady New York, plate #70076 built May 1943 off engine 107 a Class S-2 1000 HP Switcher. The engine was sold for scrape on 10/24/64 to Barter Machinery & Supply Co. Denver. Cast iron plate measures 6” x 12” and still boasts the original paint. This is the earlier version with ALCO Diesel in the lower LH corner. Always desirable. Minimum bid: $200 Price Realized: $1,150 |
