Lot: 107 Description: BALTIMORE & OHIO NOSE PLATE – cast iron 16 ½” capital logo plate with 3 mounting holes. Old yellow paint with evidence of rust & scale on reverse covered in old black paint. Plate has stress crack where the arm attaches to top of capital dome. Harder to find and a welcome addition to any collection.
Please Note: I was advised that this is the rarer style of emblem due to the open ampersand. These were used on the famous EM-1 locomotives and locomotives that were rebuilt during that time period. My thanks to Ron Muldowney for the update. Minimum bid: $200 Price Realized: $575 |
