Lot: 113 Description: WHISTLE -large 3 chime brass whistle stands approximately 19 ½” high and 5 ½” diameter. This was consigned by a long time Rio Grande employee who stated that this was mounted on the north end of the Wood Car Shop at the Burnham yards in Denver. Manufactured by H. Bellfield Co, PA. I found a commercial catalog online that was dated 1876 so an early company. A great piece of Rio Grande history sure to please the lucky buyer. Minimum bid: $400 Price Realized: $2,050 |
