Lot: 96 Description: PENNSYLVANIA RR BUILDER’S PLATE - Juniata Shops K.4.S brass oval plate-built April - 1918 serial number 3454. From engine 1522 that was removed from service in November of 1952. This rare plate comes with the original letter dated October 31, 1952, that discusses the removal of the badge with instructions to deliver the plate to Mr. C.L. Roy with the compliments of the Railroad. Plate measures 11 5/8” x 7 ¼”. One of the stars of this issue in ready to display condition. Minimum bid: $1,500 Price Realized: $3,800 |
