Lot: 464 Description: The CONTINENTAL TUNNEL RAILWAY CO PASS – 1908 annual pass NO. 99 issued to Mr. J.E. Preston, “Ladies Man.” Black on tan with great vignette. Conditions are not typical of what we usually see but rather a summation of the benefits of building the Moffat Tunnel. The restrictions shown in red appear to be written in jest. Mr. Preston’s name has been on many passes I have handled. However, I have tried to research this company and the General Managers signature Herbert George to no avail. Not sure this was an actual company issued piece. Still early and a unique offering for the Moffat road enthusiast. Minimum bid: $50 Price Realized: $160 |
