Lot: 15  Description: JAMES J HILL MEDALLION – lot of two bronze medallions framed under glass to showcase each side. These impressive relics were issued May 29, 1916, to commemorate Mr. Hill and was sent out by the First National Bank of St Paul to a number of his friends. A letter typed October 31, 1962, is included. “Designed by Henning Ryden of Newark NJ, sculptor, and painter. Die-cutter was Charles Bourgin.” Each medal measures 3” ‘diameter showing Mr. Hill on one side and reads, “September 16th, 1838, May 29th, 1916 “One of the World’s Greatest Builders.” Overall measures 11 1/8” x 7 1/8” in the frame. Great historic offering and a plus with the added documented history.
