Lot: 393 Description: D&RGRY S LOCK (Denver & Rio Grande) serif letters engraved in arch on panel of brass heart shaped switch lock manufactured by Post & Co showing patent date of January 1878. No spring in the key cover, but dark patina and in good working order. Take a look at lot 269 for a matching key. One of the earliest locks used on this desirable narrow-gauge line.
