Lot: 400 Description: D&RGWRY CAR LOCK – (Denver & Rio Grande Western Railway) embossed letters on body of round brass 6-lever pancake lock manufactured by D.K. Miller with last patent of Oct. 21, 1873. Has #179 stamped on the border. This one is in amazing condition, showing natural brown patina. It should be mentioned that the reverse shows some file marks and a pin which could suggest it was repaired at one time. This is one of the earliest locks used on the Rio Grande so don’t miss this chance to add a stellar piece to your collection. Minimum bid: $1,500 Price Realized: $3,000 |
