Lot: 15 Description: DENVER SOUTH PARK & PACIFIC PAINTING – original watercolor painting of the Dillon engine by Richard Ward 1916-1993. Englishman Richard Ward was a Royal Air Force Spitfire pilot in WWII. A prolific and celebrated illustrator and graphic artist, Ward has a great personal interest in airplanes & steam engines. Some of his notable paintings are featured in Michael Koch books like, The Shay Locomotive -Titan of the Timber & Steam & Thunder in the Timber.
