Lot: 9 Description: DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN WINDOW – duplicate window glass from the end doors of the D&RGW diner “Silver Banquet.” A few of these were made by David Shumaker in the late 1970’s. The ex - CZ diner then used on the Rio Grande Zephyr was being refurbished and Dave provided these to the D&RGW. Only a few extras were produced, and this was one of them. Made of thick clear glass with cut in Mainline logo in the center. Measures 14” x 18” and 5/8” thick. Would make a wonderful conversation piece for any train room.
