Lot: 14 Description: ROCK ISLAND LINES PHOTOGRAPH – Original WH Jackson photo, this panoramic chromolithograph is copyright 1907 by Detroit Photographic Co. and advertises the Rocky Mountain Limited train with the Pikes Peak range in the background. This photo is the one used to produce the extremely rare and sought-after Mother of Pearl pieces. Beautifully framed under glass this measures 25 ½” x 45 ½”. Brass plaque applied to bottom center of the frame reads, Rocky Mountain Limited over Rock Island Lines. Nice condition showing a few very small spots in the fields but overall nice and would display nicely in any room. Minimum bid: $300 Price Realized: $1,200 |
