Lot: 90 Description: COTTON BELT ROUTE PLATE – original brass logo plate measuring 13” x 12 5/8”. These were mounted on the valve chest and are found with holes that have been plugged due to rebuilds on the cylinder jacket. Reverse is embossed AX6300. These were only used on passenger locomotives and their famous 4-8-4 engines. There are 8 plugged holes which includes the mounting holes, but very well done and hard to see.
