Lot: 71 Description: D&RGW PLATE – American Locomotive Company #44941 Schenectady Works brass plate off a 2-8-0 engine #1173 built in February 1908. Plate measures 13 ¾” x 7 5/8”. Shows moderate scratches on the lettering and border but still good display and evidence of scale remains on the reverse. Indents above the mounting holes would suggest that when doing the holes, they attempted but changed their mind? Engine was scrapped in December 1956. Another nice offering.
