Lot: 70 Description: D&RGW NUMBER PLATE - #1177 built by American Locomotive Company/ Schenectady #44945 in 1908 from a C-48, 2-8-0 engine. Plate measures 21 ½’ x 10 ½”. Engine was scrapped in December 1956. Numbers have been repainted but nicely done with black background and silver border. Reverse still shows heavy scale and embossed D&RG over 1626? Side of one mounting post is broken away as well as a corner of the raised backing plate. This was originally from the Richard Kindig collection so just another added bonus for the new owner.
