Lot: 466 Description: AT&SFe TRAIN DESPATCHER - on face of 21 jewel pocket watch with serial #2042605 stamped inside. Also engraved AT&SFe Train Despatcher on the inside as well. This is a Swiss made watch that was manufactured to resemble a an authentic railroad watch. The only markings I am able to find are on the inside of the back cover which is engraved Gibraltar Gold Filled. I did wind it a little and it kept time for a few minutes, but I am unable to guarantee good working order. Case is ornate and face and crystal are in good condition. This is from the Warren Scholl estate.
PLEASE NOTE: I have been told that these were not ordered by the Santa Fe. It certainly could have been used by someone but they were not official railroad use. Minimum bid: $50 Price Realized: $160 |
