Lot: 376 Description: D&RG - (Denver & Rio Grande) embossed block letters down panel of brass heart shaped switch lock with no manufacturers marks shown. Complete with 4 links of chain. Comes with tapered barrel double ring serif lettered key that is extremely worn but stamping is still good. Serial #S 298 on reverse. Barrel is very thin and bottom is starting to split. It does operate the lock however, I would suggest using strictly for display and I think it could break off at some point. There are some keys in this issue worth looking at in particular lot 284 would be a nice match. A beautiful lock with dark patina and strong spring. Minimum bid: $300 Price Realized: $440 |
