Lot: 336 Description: CBUPRR – (Central Branch Union Pacific RR) serif letters stamped on shackle of brass heart shaped lock with 10 links of iron forged chain. Reverse manufacturer Bohannan and marked with C for CAR. This line was started in 1867 and ran until 1899 when it became part of the Missouri Pacific. Comes with brass MOPAC 11 key. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be in working order as the key will not rotate all the way. Shackle does move and spring still remains in the key cover. Without a doubt this early and scarce offering will be a welcome addition. Minimum bid: $100 Price Realized: $1,000 |
