Lot: 117 Description: WHISTLE – early 3 chime brass whistle with no manufacturers marks shown. This one measures 5” diameter and has shop stamping around the base that reads, “D&RGW SALIDA 341.” Unfortunately, I can say without a doubt that this is not the whistle off of that engine. It could however have been used on the Rio Grande as it is an early 1890’s era piece. It is missing the valve but otherwise this is great condition and would be a welcome addition to any collection.
