Lot: 111 Description: SANTA FE DEPOT CLOCK – white dial with black enameled letters and numbers that reads, “Santa Fe Railway System Standard Dial,” on schoolhouse style wall clock manufactured by Seth Thomas. Back wall of pendulum compartment still has applied Seth Thomas directions and repair tag reads, “F 541 Santa Fe Depot B&B Shops 12/18/62.” Wooden case is in good condition but the glass on the pendulum door is cracked. It appears that glue has been applied to the reverse side to hold it in place. I did wind it briefly and it ran for about 5 minutes, but it did stop so it might need cleaning. These are always a desirable and welcome addition to any collection. This is from the Warren Scholl estate and will be a treasure for the new owner. Minimum bid: $500 Price Realized: $1,700 |
