Lot: 132 Description: AT&SF WHISTLE (Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe) - AT&SF/LM540 embossed on top of cast iron 6-chime stair step locomotive whistle. Stands 24" tall x 6 1/2" diameter. Whistle weighs 50.5 lbs. It has a brass cap and has been painted and cleaned for display. Appears to be in good working order with all flanges intact. Stamped on the top is the number 3784 which is shown as a 4-8-4 engine. A beautiful and rare offering sure to please the new owner. Minimum bid: $1,500 Price Realized: $4,100 |
