Lot:Description: COLORADO & SOUTHERN RY - "The Far Famed Georgetown Loop, The Colorado Road," in silver on the mat surrounding original W.H. Jackson chromolithograph produced by Detroit Publishing Company. This early mammoth print shows the infamous Georgetown Loop railroad crossing the high bridge looking towards Silverplume. Overall this measures 30 1/2" x 26 1/2" in original wooden frame. Matting shows a couple of fatigue splits and light moisture stains on one side. The print itself is still quite vivid but does have some foxing in the top left corner and a small hard to see bottom edge split. An early 1890's era treasure that will be a welcome addition for any Colorado railroad enthusiast.
