D&RGRW HARP SWITCH STAND

Lot: 145  Description: D&RGRW - embossed on both sides of early cast iron harp switch stand. This amazing treasure has been engraved “SILVERTON NORTHERN,” across the top. Comes with a cast iron reefer lock #326. Is it possible that the railroad marked this stand for the branch? Or the owner did this to preserve the provenance. Either way the picture shown on the website is a Richard Kindig photo taken in 1939 showing an identical stand in front of the engine house. Most likely repainted at one time but in great condition and one of the most desirable pieces missing from most seasoned collections. This will need to be picked up from me directly however, given the current climate I can hold on to it for as long as necessary. A chance to add this historic relic to your own collection.
