Lot 126
Price Realized: $1,900![]() |
Lot: 126 Description: COTTON BELT ROUTE 660 UPDATE I am lowering the minimum bid to $300 - cast brass herald and engine numbers from a G-0 Class 4-6-0 engine built by Baldwin in 1916. The herald was mounted on the valve chest and the numbers were riveted on the sand domes. This has been mounted on wooden back with metal border and heavy-duty chain to withhold the weight. It does appear that 6 manmade holes were filled at one time. The plaque measures approximately 12 3/4" x 13" and the letters are 4 1/4" x 6". The letters are curved for mounting. Overall it is 24" x 20". Weight is 20 lbs. Plate and numbers can be removed from the display if new owners wish to save some cost on shipment. A wonderful relic that is missing from many collections.
