NORTHERN PACIFIC BUILDER’S PLATE
View:  Main (LargeView 2 (Large)
Lot: 67  Description: NORTHERN PACIFIC - Heisler Locomotive Works, Erie, PA USA Patented Shop NO. 1106 brass builders plate off of a standard gauge engine #4 built in November 1906. This was the only Heisler built for a class one railroad. This engine was based in Centralia, Washington and used on a branch the Northern Pacific had for logging. It had quite a resume showing a stint with the Pacific States Lumber Co, Northern Coast Lumber Co, Izett Bros Logging Co, Union Machine & Supply Co, H.H. Martin Lumber Co., Western Cross Arm & Mfg. Co, Eastern RY & Lumber Co and finally the Sam A. Agnew Lumber Co. My thanks to Ron Muldowney for sharing this history. Plate measures 12" x 5 1/4" with some normal scratches but appears to be in original untouched condition. A rare plate that will be a treasure for the new owner.
