Lot: 356 Description: SP CO (Southern Pacific) on shoulder of 1883 Adams & Westlake brass top double wire guard frame with twist off bell. Comes with beautiful 6" clear cast "SP Co" serif letter extended base globe. Lid is dark with light surface rust. Underside of lid has moderate rust as well as underside of the bell where the patent dates are but barely visible. Small hole in bottom of bell too. Overall very acceptable and an early and rare offering from the Kettwig estate. Minimum bid: $1,500 Price Realized: $6,500 |
