Lot: 197 Description: SP MISSION SERVICE PLATE - 10 1/2" plate titled, "Mission San Miguel Archangel Founded July 25, 1797. Monastery and chapel in good condition." Manufactured by Bauscher also marked, "Designed for Southern Pacific Company." This beautiful and rare plate in is near mint condition. Gold is near perfect although the inner pinstripe has two very minute spots where the gold has flaked and mentioned for accuracy only. Certainly, should not devalue this incredible piece in any way. I have only had the pleasure of handling a few of these over the years and it goes without saying that adding this to your collection will be a true asset and incredible investment as pieces this nice are still commanding great attention.
