Lot: 76 Description: GREAT NORTHERN - Baldwin Locomotive Works Burnham Williams & Co plate No. 32732 built in March 1908 but not shown on the plate. Off of a 2-6-6-2c engine #1909. Moderate scratches around the bottom mount hole and plate has 3" crack that only shows on the reverse. Number on reverse is 16 37/60 1/4 DD 20. Early and harder to find.

This plate was built as L-1 2-6-6-2 #1909 as you data states. This locomotive was rebuilt at the GN Hillyard Shops in 1926 and was rebuilt into a large class 0-6 2-8-2 #3370. This locomotive was retired in 3/1958 and was not scrapped until 1963. The month and date must have been ground off when the locomotive was rebuilt in 1926.
