Lot: 314 Description: NYC - OCL (New York Central Overnight Cleveland Limited) block letters on brass single ring choke barrel key. Reverse reads, "Track #27." We have always been under the impression that the "OCL" stands for Ohio Central Lines. However, at the turn of the century there was a very elite train that ran out of Grand Central Station known as the Overnight Cleveland Limited. Cut is not the typical cut as shown in the next lot. Any thoughts please let me know. Letters are worn but legible and without a doubt an early and scarce key that will be a welcome addition for the new owner. Minimum bid: $120 Price Realized: $190 |
