Lot: 81 Description: COLORADO MIDLAND - Baldwin Locomotive Works Burnham Williams & Co brass builders plate No. 18632 dated January 1901. Off of a 2-8-0 engine #202. Plate measures 12 1/8" and still holds curve from boiler mount. Reverse stamped number reads, 28 over 1040 F 76. Plate has been cleaned but still shows evidence of scale buildup on reverse. Mount holes showing typical scratches. One of the stars of this issue from the Neil Shankweiler estate. A chance to add a scarce and sought-after relic to your collection.
