Lot: 104 Description: SOUTHERN PACIFIC - Cooke Patterson, NJ. L&M CO brass builders plate NO. 2302. Reverse is engraved from SP 1811-2269 a 4-6-0 engine built in 1895. Plate measures 10 1/4" diameter and does show evidence of a repair on the reverse. There were a pair of these in the Askevold estate. I sold the matching plate in Auction 100 for $1100 and it was not in as good of shape so let's see where this one ends up. Early and scarce. Minimum bid: $500 Price Realized: $1,800 |
