Lot: 48 Description: DENVER & RIO GRANDE - Baldwin Locomotive Works, Burnham Parry, Williams & Co., round brass plate No. 7028 built in 1883.. Off of a narrow gauge 4-6-0, T-12 engine #169. The engine was donated to Alamosa in April 1941. Plate measures 11 5/8" diameter. There is evidence that two additional mounting holes were filled at one time. Background has been painted black and letters and numbers polished for display. This amazing surviving relic of early Colorado railroad history is without a doubt extremely rare.
