Lot: 376 Description: UNION PACIFIC - embossed on amber 5 3/8" extended base globe housed in unmarked brass top bell bottom double wire guard frame with twist off bell. Frame is in original untouched condition and missing the locking strap from the side of the bell. The consignor shared that he purchased this many years ago from a widow whose husband worked for the UP in Utah. It came as it is represented so it would be sad to break up the pair but lot 375 would be an appropriate choice. The globe is beautiful with strong cast and only a couple of very small hard to see flake chips on extended base. I am aware of only 3 or 4 of these in the hands of collectors today with rumors of one trading hands for 5 figures this past year.
