Lot: 375 Description: UNION PACIFIC - on shoulder of brass top single wire guard frame with twist off pot. No globe in this one but I have a feeling there are several collectors who need a rare frame to house theirs. This amazing example still boasts strong tin although there are small remnants of red paint that would need to eventually be removed. Bottom of twist off still shows patents but considerably worn away and a few pinholes that could be easily repaired. These do not surface and when they do there is amazing activity. There are still those rare and sought-after pieces that show up every now and then that help to make this hobby so exciting. The next lot 376 will be worth taking a look at and considering matching with this lot as it too is a treasure and one of the stars of this issue. Minimum bid: $3,000 Price Realized: $4,300 |
