Lot: 20 Description: SANTA FE - logo hand painted on side of china cup with gold border and handle. R.L. Knighton written in cursive letters on reverse. Manufactured by Limoges and signed H. Kurth. Beautiful ornate violet floral design encircles the cup. This piece came from Rick Wright's collection and unfortunately any history is lost. It does resemble a shaving mug however it is too fine of china to have been presented as such. It is obviously some sort of presentation piece possibly given as a retirement gift. This is good condition and will no doubt be a treasure for the new caretaker. Plus a real honor to have a piece that was once treasured by Rick. Cup measures 3 1/8" across the top and stands 3 1/4" tall. Minimum bid: $200 Price Realized: $1,900 |
