Lot: 128 Description: UNION PACIFIC - illuminated shield logo sign used originally in the train station at 6th and Olice Street in downtown Los Angeles in the 1940's. This great early piece of railroad history measures approximately 18" x 20". Colorful red, white and blue logo reverse painted on clear Plexiglas, which stands in metal frame that is lit from the bottom by a florescent bulb. Comes in original wooden shipping crate designed especially for the piece. Bottom left and right edges of the Plexiglas are chipped but that does not detract from the sign itself. A wonderful relic of long ago travel that will be a wonderful addition to any collection. Minimum bid: $500 Price Realized: $500 |
